Proscovia Alando is a highly respected expert in aquaculture with a decade of invaluable experience in the seafood sector.
As the founder of Samaky Hub, she specializes in customized consulting and matchmaking services, facilitating seamless connections within the aquaculture value chain across Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly focusing on connecting investors and fish farmers and aiding in program implementation. Since 2021, Samaky Hub has successfully partnered in implementing six projects globally.
Proscovia excels in bridging the gap between programs, institutions, investors and farmers leveraging her extensive network and deep industry expertise to deliver impactful solutions. Her proven track record in Kenya and Tanzania, along with partnerships with globally recognized organizations like Hatch Blue, underscores her global capabilities.
She is also the Co-Founder of Ressect, where she is highly skilled in farming black soldier fly (BSF) insects as an alternative protein for fish feed formulation. Through Ressect, she offers training and facility establishment for insect farming, having established BSF facilities for farmers, aiming to lower the cost of fish feed while conserving the ocean.
